Today I have the pleasure of giving away The Betrayed, the fourteenth installment of Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters series. I know some of you are going to see the word "fourteenth" and decide you'll never be able to get caught up on this series, but FEAR NOT, each book works as a standalone. I read the previous book, The Hexed, having not read the prior twelve, and absolutely adored it. I never once felt lost or out of sorts, and Ms. Graham writes some outstanding paranormal romantic suspense stories!
I'm lucky enough to have a copy of The Betrayed to give away on the blog today, but before you guys scroll down to the Rafflecopter, find out what's in store for you in this newest installment (it's oh-so perfect for Halloween)!
THE BETRAYED
Sleepy Hollow isn't so sleepy anymore...
One night, New York FBI agent Aiden Mahoney receives a visitor in a dream–an old friend named Richard Highsmith. The very next day he's sent to Sleepy Hollow because Richard's gone missing there.
Maureen--Mo--Deauville now lives in the historic town and works with her dog, Rollo, to search for missing people. She's actually the one to find Richard... or more precisely his head, stuck on a statue of the legendary Headless Horseman.
Mo and Aiden, a new member of the Krewe of Hunters, the FBI's unit of paranormal investigators, explore both past and present events to figure out who betrayed Richard, who killed him and now wants to kill them, too. As they work together, they discover that they share an unusual trait–the ability to communicate with the dead. They also share an attraction that's as intense as it is unexpected...if they live long enough to enjoy it!

I haven't read anything by Heather Graham in YEARS, but I did like what I read. I really need to soon though!
ReplyDeleteThe Hexed was my first book by her and I loved it. Definitely can't wait to read more!
DeleteJenny..Heather has so many great books! Her Krewe of Hunters series is wonderful. I love her vampire/paranormal series are awesome. I read that series twice! ALL her books are great. She has so many types of books. Don't miss her Shannon Drake novels either.
DeleteMy favorite movie to watch is Ghostbusters around the Halloween.
ReplyDeleteOoo that's a good one!
DeleteMy favorite movie to watch will always be all the Addams Family movies.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen those. How much do I fail? O.o
DeleteI'm not big on horror movies, so I'd have to go with Beetlejuice or one of Tim Burton's animated flicks such as The Nightmare Before Christmas or Frankenweenie. I can't believe that this series is already at 14 installments!
ReplyDeleteI'm not big on horror either Carmel, I definitely need the funnier type of Halloween movies. Like Hocus Pocus:)
DeleteLike Christy I haven't read anything by this author in way too long so thanks so much for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI don't re-read much but I do re-watch movies all the time and I love watching Practical Magic every Halloween season. :)
Happy Friday Jenny!!
YES TO PRACTICAL MAGIC ALI!!! Love that movie:)
DeleteThanks for the giveaway, Jenny. I know Kim loves this author's books, so I definitely need to read things by her! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Hexed was my first book by her Nick and I'm now a big fan. It was just a really quick read, and I loved that I couldn't figure out who the killer was:)
DeleteThanks for this giveaway. I like to watch Gaslight. saubleb(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteCREEPY COVER IS CREEPY, JENNY!
ReplyDeleteThat whole isolated cabin thing is the stuff horror movies are made of. And I love horror movies.
Choose just one! I'll try.LOL As for movies, I like to watch the old black and white Dracula movies, even the silent ones. See, I knew I couldn't choose just one!
ReplyDeleteFor books I search my creature stories and grab the one that fits my mood. It must be very scary and one of my favorites.
Ooh this sounds like a fun one - I love anything to do with Sleepy Hollow, and Mo and Aiden sound awesome (thought I'd never want their ability *shivers*). I'm glad these can be read as standalones, otherwise I probably would have skipped it.
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad to hear that this books can be read out of order because as you said, 14th installment is quite daunting to think of catching up! This one with the Sleepy Hollow horseman connections sound really intriguing too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for putting both Hexed and this one on my radar, Jenny!
I love to watch the Amittyville movies.
ReplyDeleteamyc
I've heard this is an excellent series! And that they can be read as stand alones. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI have a couple of her books on my tbr and I've heard that some of her series books can be read as standalones. Good thing for me. :)
ReplyDeleteBtw, I love to watch The Lost Boys on Halloween. :)
This sounds like something that should be on my shelf now with its Sleepy Hollow setting/mystery! Hmmm ... I like scary and romance so it would have to be the movie Dracula/Coppola. :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of Ms. Graham's books in a long time either. This sounds awesome :) Ummm... I like the cheesy horror flicks from the 80's/early 90's. Tales from the Crypt is a big fav! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDelete14th, well it would take a lot of time to persuade me to start this series. I do like the sound of it but well maybe one day. Thanks for sharing, Jenny :)
ReplyDeletelove a good suspense book. especially one that scares me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of the tour!
ReplyDeleteDon't have any favs to read or watch
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read any of this authors books before but I keep hearing her books can be read as standalone's so now I'm tempted to pick one up and just see if it works for me!
