Dianne Emley
Paranormal Thriller/Mystery
Available Now
From Goodreads:
In bestselling author Dianne Emley’s chilling new paranormal thriller, a beautiful woman’s romantic past comes back to haunt her in the form of an otherworldly visitor seeking justice.
Gorgeous and successful, Rory Langtry seemed to have it all. Daughter of a movie star and sister of a supermodel, Rory was engaged to sexy artist, Junior Lara. But her bright future went dark one terrible, bloody night that left her sister dead and the accused murderer—Junior—in an extended coma.
Now, five years later, Rory appears to have put the past behind her. She has a wonderful new fiancé and heads a successful cosmetics company. Yet dark secrets threaten. Across town, Junior lies close to death but before he departs he seeks to clear his name.
It starts with a feeling. It turns into a vision. Soon Rory is having sensations that only Junior could experience—from the horrifying to the erotic. Then she learns details about the awful night that only Junior could know, newfound knowledge with potentially fatal consequences. When another act of violence rocks her family, Rory plunges deeper into the unsolved mystery, led by an inexplicable visitor to a dangerous time and place where all will be revealed at last. But until then, Junior will not let her go.

Confession: I've recently become OBSESSED with the TV show Criminal Minds. My husband and I discovered it one Friday night about a month ago and we've been binge watching it ever since. I'm talking anywhere from 2-6 episodes per day. We can't stop. It's so good. And horrifying. And haunting. Since I'm on a Criminal Minds kick, I've been craving a good mystery/thriller read, so I couldn't be more excited for The Night Visitor. Luckily for me, this book actually released last week so I have no wait whatsoever and can revel in the instant gratification of it all. *rubs hands together with glee*
As a little special add on today thanks to TLC Book Tours and Alibi, I have not only a copy of The Night Visitor to give away, but also a $25 gift card to the eBook retailer of your choice. Good luck everyone!

This does sound interesting. I don't really watch crime shows regularly, but Criminal Minds is one I like.
ReplyDeleteI can't stop watching it Christy! It's just so well written and all the episodes are so different. Normally you binge watch a show and get pretty tired of it after watching so many in a row because they start to feel similar, but not CM:)
DeleteThis sounds thrilling - I'm so curious to know whether Junior actually murdered her sister. And I've heard such great things about Criminal Minds, I should really give it a try. I love when a show is so addictive I binge watch it. :-)
ReplyDeleteME TOO!! Good, creepy stuff is going on with this one and I want to know all about it:) And definitely watch CM! Except maybe not at night by yourself. Maybe during the day or with other people ;-)
DeleteThat's totally new to me! Hope you love it once you read it!
ReplyDeleteHere's my WoW
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I hope so too! I'm excited:)
DeleteOh this one is new to me. I think I'll wait to see the reviews. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome:)
DeleteOoooh, Criminal Minds! I had a binge obsession with them for a while too, but all the episodes were jumping from season to season (I blame TV channels here in Spain for doing that) and I got too horrified at some point and I needed to take a break from horrible murderers...
ReplyDeleteThe book sounds very intriguing and I'm adding it to my wish list right away, Jenny! Thank you for putting this one on my radar!
That's happening right now too. The episodes that are directly linked are staying together thankfully, but otherwise it keeps hopping back and forth between the various seasons. I'm still obsessed with it though:)
DeleteOh, wow! This sounds super creepy and intense. I like these kind of books for October…it will probably scare me though. Have you watched The Killing on Netflix? You might like it…it's fantastic!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it? And no I haven't watched The Killing, I might have to do that after I get through all 239420394 episodes of CM:)
DeleteOoooh. I adore Criminal Minds, Jenny, and have often whiled away entire days with Criminal Minds marathons on A&E. Good times, good times. Now I want to watch it on Netflix... my weekend plans have suddenly taken a turn. ;)
ReplyDeleteIT'S SO GOOD! The A&E marathons happen every weekend. It's amazing:)
DeleteThis book sounds fabulous Jenny, especially since you've been wanting something similar to Criminal Minds. I love the last line of the blurb, it just leaves you with chills down your spine. And its amazing when you don't have to wait for the book to be released either! I hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteYes it does. I want to know what's going to happen! I'm going to try and keep myself in check though and not read the end first as I usually do:)
DeleteI am always up for a good thriller and this sounds great!
ReplyDeleteYES! Can't wait:)
DeleteThere is nothing like a good mystery or thriller!
ReplyDeleteI know how you love your mystery/thrillers:)
DeleteI haven't Criminal Minds, but have been on the lookout for some new TV shows and might give it a try. The new fall TV shows for this year just don't look that appealing to me.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good Z!!! There are some VERY creepy/disturbing episodes, but I'm completely addicted:)
DeleteThis is creepy and sounds like all kinds of fabulous! I want to read it for sure! :) And I must know what happened that night.
ReplyDeleteFabulous pick, Jenny.
ME TOO! I have so many questions that need answers:)
DeleteCriminal Minds is too disturbing for me, Jenny, because psychos on that TV show can be real. *Shudders* I'll stick to Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Lol
ReplyDeleteI thought it would be for me too Rummanah, but it's such a smart show. Really well done:)
DeleteI haven't heard of this one but I've been discovering that I enjoy this genre far more than I let on and I definitely want to explore it in more depth. I'll certainly be looking out for this--thanks for putting it on my radar, Jenny! :)
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I just want a great mystery thriller. I need a break from my normal YA sometimes!
DeleteIt's normally not right up mine, but I guess I'm in a creepy mood lately:)
ReplyDeleteOh my mom is addicted to that show, but hasn't swayed me yet. She did get me on NCIS and it variants. :) I do like thrillers so this one is right up my alley.
ReplyDeleteI can only watch so many of those before I can't watch any more. How can people be so evil?
ReplyDeleteI don't get how you can possibly have the time to watch 2-6 episodes per day!! I recently (last month) started watching Revenge but only at episode 13 because of lack of time!! Great pick, BTW. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a part of the tour!
