Ireland Pictures!

Hey Everyone!

I hope you guys are having a nice, relaxing weekend (and you moms are having a fantastic Mother's Day!). I'm spending the weekend working to catch up a bit after Ireland, but I wanted to make sure to share a few pictures of our trip before I got too distracted by other things. We had an amazing 10 days on the Emerald Isle, traveling around the west for 4 days before catching a train to Dublin. We spent 2 days in Dublin and then headed north to Armagh/Belfast as my mother in law (who joined us on this trip!) has family there.

I took a grand total of 3,000 pictures because I can't control myself when I have a camera in my hand, but I managed to sort through most of them and pull a few favorites to post. I would go back in a heartbeat, but it's definitely good to be home!

Adare Manor, our hotel the first night. My husband wanted to kick this trip off in style!

Celtic cross at the Rock of Cashel

A misty, rainy day at Kylemore Abbey

The view from the road to Lough (lake) Mask

Misty horses on the Sky Road, County Galway

The the outside (left) and inside of Dublin's gorgeous mall across from St. Stephen's Green

The Long Room, Trinity College

The Dark Hedges (Game of Thrones!)

Dunluce Castle

Carrick-a-Rede (We actually crossed that rope bridge. I thought death was imminent)

Sheep! I couldn't leave Ireland without a picture of a little lamb:)

The crazy rock formations at Giant's Causeway

The Titanic museum in Belfast. Each side of the museum was an exact scale replica of the ship's bow.

Me and Kevin. Just because:)

I love how vibrant they are, but I also love the misty and old-world feel to the Kylemore Abbey and The Dark Hedges photo. What was it like walking under all those magnificent trees?? And those castles??

  22. Wow, these are AMAZING! The pictures are such high quality (at least to my non-expert eye) that you could make covers from them. Gorgeous.
Ireland is toward the top of my list of places I want to visit. I've always been drawn there and can't wait until the day I can finally visit!

  23. Did you do a Black taxi tour in Belfast? My friend and I did one and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.

I also had to get a sheep photo when we were in New Zealand. My husband made fun of me for taking a photo of sheep when they're in Montana too, but New Zealand sheep, like Irish sheep are special.
