It's Hopping Time!


Question of the week: Do you listen to music when you read? If so, what are your favorite reading tunes?

I actually don't listen to music when I read, I have trouble concentrating if I do and reread the same sentence over and over again. Oddly enough though, I can read and watch tv at the same time and that doesn't bother me. I have no idea why!

    Stopping in from the hop/follow friday. No TV or music for me when I read. I'm thinking of making a Do Not Disturb sign for my door to put up when I'm reading :-) Have a great weekend!

    I don't listen to music when I read, but I think about books when I listen to music. Which is why I actually have based my whole blog on this concept - books, music, and the connections we make between them. It tickles me that this week's Book Blog Hop topic is about this!

    Thats me too! I can watch tv and read, well I look up every now and then but I definitely can't listen to music and read.

    Hopping by! I don't listen to music either. I only get to read about 15-30 minutes at a time, so there isn't a lot of time to get the music going!

    If the TV is on and my kids are watching I can usually drown out the show. If I'm the one watching, I'm not also reading.

    Just hopping by to say hello! Sometimes I can read while blocking out background music or background TV, but never actively do both. Although, I can pat my head and rub my tummy! (I'm proud of that accomplishment.) -Westie :-)

    You read in silence? Wow! But you can read and watch TV at the same time? Me, I can't read without sounds and I can't read while watching. The latter is more distracting for me. lol.
