Waiting on Wednesday: Kiss of Snow

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking The Spine and is a fun way to see what books other bloggers just can't wait to get their hands on!

KISS OF SNOW (Psy-Changeling Series #10)

Nalini Singh
Paranormal Romance
June 2011

From author's website:

Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness. Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness.

Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would’ve been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf.

Then Sienna changes the rules and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet. Yet as they strip away each other’s secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight…

A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna’s darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home…and the alpha who is its heartbeat…

So, I have a confession to make. I'm nursing a truly spectacular crush on Hawke (perhaps you can see why based on this cover) and have been blatantly book-stalking him. By book-stalking I mean I've been reading this series out of order and picking the books that feature members of the SnowDancer pack of which he's Alpha to read in the hope I'll get some delicious Hawke snippets, so I feel it goes without saying that I'm hugely excited to read his story. I think it takes a pretty special person to stalk a fictional character, so I find I'm rather proud of myself in this situation;)

Seriously though, if you like paranormal romance and you haven't yet read Nalini Singh, get on it!

  5. I dunno. Nalini Singh is from Fiji (so am I) so I was verrry excited to read her Arch Angel series and the first book totally rocked. Like rocked my socks off. And then I read the second one and I was not very pleased with it. But I'm still going to read the third one because Rafael is just too hot to pass up even though I sort of can guess where the story is going. The cover is yummy though.

  7. Oooops I deleted my comment. Total accident....anyway, I was saying.....

I am a huge fan of the first book in the series but have yet to pick up another one (just way to many great books to read not enough time). I am amazed that she is on her 10th book. Oh and the cover is absolutely beautiful. Makes me want to wipe the dampness right off his chest....with my tongue...you aren't the only one aparently who has fictional character stalking disorder (FCSD).

Oh Jenny you made chills up my spine, this is the one I have been waiting for the longest in the series! Man it is going to be good reading as these two have been on my wish list for a story line since first introduced to them in the series! Gosh June is a long time to wait!

  21. No... I can't see why? Care to explain? :P

I need to change my blog name to Unread Loser. Still, after all the awesome praise I've read about author Nalini Singh, I have yet to read a single book by her.

I know! Le suck <-*points to self*

So then, this series is like BDB, with each book about a different member? I think that is what I'm gathering. Hawke sounds like a super sexy name and I remember feeling like a crazed stalker when my favorite bros surfaced in BDB and I got to read their lines over and over again.

  22. That's pretty wow cover!!!

I'm not familiar with this series, but you definitely got me curious on this Hawke character. ;D

  23. I want to read it from the cover alone LOL

  24. You know what Jenny? I'd read this book based on it's title alone :) I actually have one of her books in my book shelf, but can't for the life of me remember the title (too lazy to scratch around the organised chaos that is comprises my book shelves :)). Anyway, I think I'm going to have to get around to reading this series now - after all, if you're praising a book or predicting a fabulous read, then I'm NOT going to argue :) *grins*

  25. Holy. Smokes. Wow. Za. That's quite the cover!

I'm about two books behind but I can not wait for this one. I wasn't happy about the match up before, but then I heard some arguments for it so now I'm ok with it (like I had a choice!).

    Anywho, super super super excited!!
