STORY CRUSH CALCULATOR
Just for those who are curious, day one of the Month of Love features a story crush calculator, something that made me ignore the list of "to do" items for my work day in favor of exploring what it was all about. As you can see in the above graphic, the crush calculator is a quiz to help you determine which "crushable story" most suits you based on a few short questions. Win. Since I have numerous and varied fictional YA crushes, I immediately took this quiz. Work can be done later right? Right.
Jenny's story crush according to the calculator: EPIC FAIL.
No seriously. That's what came up when I finished. At first I was like hmmmmm. Epic fail. That's kind of fitting for me really, so I called to tell my husband that my crush calculator told me I was an epic fail. He didn't care. Then I realized Epic Fail is actually a book, hence the STORY part of the story crush calculator. I never fail to impress myself with my brilliance.
Go find your story crush! And then come back and tell me if you got Epic Fail so I'll know I'm not alone:)
I, for one, am constantly in awe of your brilliance. True Story. :)
ReplyDeleteThere you go again, waving your brilliance around! *scoffs* ;)
ReplyDeleteMy story crush is Alex from DELIRIUM :) I'm a rule-follower so the crush calculator knows I need a rebel-boy!
XO,
♥Isalys / Book Soulmates
Missie - I know. So many are. It can't be helped ;-)
ReplyDeleteIsalys - I'm a braggart, I can't help it! And Alex is delicious, I would have preferred him to my Epic Fail:)
Heidi - I loved Delirium! Hope you get a chance to read it soon:)
That was fun! Thanks for sharing Jenny. I got The Secret Sisterhood, which I haven't read yet, but now I am intrigued to! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteSam - You're welcome! I kind of want to retake the quiz and see if I can not fail this time ;-)
ReplyDeleteJennifer - You're welcome!
LOL! Sounds exactly what I would have thought after finding out what it said. I'd probably cry. LOL Na, not really. Love your story though!
ReplyDeleteOh and thanks for the well wishes!
How cool! I am going to check it out now.

Nooooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteLove and Leftovers
LOVE TRIANGLE! You’ve discovered a new crush but you’re still loyal to the old one, who should you choose? They’re both wonderful people… Can you really go wrong?
Find out what happened when Marcie chose between Linus and J.D. in LOVE AND LEFTOVERS. Perhaps the repercussions can guide your choice?
lol, you really made me giggle! I would have thought the same thing since I had never heard of that book either!
ReplyDeleteI took the quiz and I got: A Beautiful Dark. It sounds good and I am adding it to my wishlist since this Asher guy sounds really... good ;)
Thanks much for sharing!
Did the quiz and got beautiful Dark! Thanks for the links :)
ReplyDeleteTypical. I got EPIC FAIL. But, as my love life is following that pattern at the moment, I'm not surprised. Very cute little quiz--maybe I'll have to check out the book. Hopefully, the MC's love life isn't an epic fail! :)
ReplyDeleteMelissa - It was a little disheartening at first, I won't lie:) Glad your eye is well enough to get into a Twitter battle with me over the Hex Boys!
ReplyDeleteBeth - Do it! Good times:)
Linda - Hm. I think I prefer EPIC FAIL to the love triangle. Love triangles drive me crazy (most of the time).
Margie - Glad I could amuse you:) At least I knew A Beautiful Dark was a book, I should have gotten that one!
Savy - You're welcome, glad you took the quiz:)
Mary - YES! At least we're not alone. We're failures together, so that makes it better:)
Jenny-
ReplyDeleteApparently I am an opposites attract kind of person, too. I'd guess so! My guy is 6'4" and I'm 5'2". I'm EPIC FAIL, too. But I'd choose a romantic comedy any day of the week! Thanks for the fun!!
Heather
That is so funny about Epic Fail, ha ha. You thought you were crushless. I took the CRUSH CALCULATOR! and my result was Summer in the City. It's all about friends for me.
ReplyDeleteHeather - That is quite a difference in height! You're so tiny, I could pick you up and carry you around in my pocket:)
ReplyDeleteJen - I did think I was crushless. It had profound effect on my fragile psyche ;-)
Honey! See, we even have other similar tasts apart from books - I also got Epic Fail and I guess I now have to read this one :))
ReplyDeleteLOL on you and the crush calculator!
ReplyDeleteFun calculator and cute picture :)
