EXQUISITE CAPTIVE
Forced to obey her master.
Compelled to help her enemy.
Determined to free herself.
Nalia is a jinni of tremendous ancient power, the only survivor of a coup that killed nearly everyone she loved. Stuffed into a bottle and sold by a slave trader, she’s now in hiding on the dark caravan, the lucrative jinni slave trade between Arjinna and Earth, where jinn are forced to grant wishes and obey their human masters’ every command. She’d give almost anything to be free of the golden shackles that bind her to Malek, her handsome, cruel master, and his lavish Hollywood lifestyle.
Enter Raif, the enigmatic leader of Arjinna’s revolution and Nalia’s sworn enemy. He promises to free Nalia from her master so that she can return to her ravaged homeland and free her imprisoned brother—all for an unbearably high price. Nalia’s not sure she can trust him, but Raif’s her only hope of escape. With her enemies on the hunt, Earth has become more perilous than ever for Nalia. There’s just one catch: for Raif’s unbinding magic to work, Nalia must gain possession of her bottle…and convince the dangerously persuasive Malek that she truly loves him. Battling a dark past and harboring a terrible secret, Nalia soon realizes her freedom may come at a price too terrible to pay: but how far is she willing to go for it?

HEATHER DEMETRIOS
I love books. I love writing stories almost as much as I like reading them. When I’m not traipsing about the world, I prefer to spend my time in imaginary places, living my What—maybe I’ll see you in one of them. I’ll be the one with my nose in a book and more tattoos than your mother would approve of.

ReplyDeleteThis book seriously sounds really good. It's something I'm in the mood for too.
ReplyDeleteAs for the question ... I want to be able to write an amazing book that include all the tropes and types of characters I love.
Totally wish I could enter
ReplyDeleteI would wish I could get all the books I want for free and at any moment I wanted them! Lol
ReplyDeleteI so wish I could enter! Oh well, I'll eventually get this one, once I can lift my book buying ban!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to read this, I'm afraid, but I WILL be reading it these days. I'm so very excited, I can't wait. I alredy own a copy, so not being able to enter isn't making me sad like it normally would. Unlike Pili, I'm not on a book buying ban, I doubt I would survive such a thing.
ReplyDeleteHardest thing ever, Maja! I think I'd be better at following a diet than refraining from buying books! It's killing me!
Deletesound like a good book :D
ReplyDeleteI'm an audiobook junkie so I'd have to say a free lifetime subscription to Audible.com .... are you listening Jinni?
ReplyDeleteI have been anticipating this book for so long. Exquisitive Captive is on my reading radar right now. The synopsis is just so eye-popping because I have never read a book about caravans and jinnis. If I came across a jinni, I would wish to meet all my favorite characters from books like America from The Selection or Celaena from Throne of Glass.
ReplyDeleteI would wish to have all the books in the world that I would want to read, it might be a greedy wish but it definitely is a happy one. There are still a lot of books I want to read and buy (its a never-ending list!), sadly I can't buy all of them at once :(
ReplyDeleteOh this one! I have heard such amazing things about it that I cannot wait to read it (when I get any time for life of course). But still I love the sound of. Great post and I envy all people in US as I want signed things :( Great post, Jenny :)
ReplyDeleteMan, I say the same thing, but body manipulation, unlimited funds, and teleportation :P Great post, can't wait to read!

ReplyDeleteThis book sounds amazing and I cannot wait to read it! But really all I would wish for would be my student loans being paid off so I can work less and have more time for reading great books!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a giveaway relay, how fun!
ReplyDeleteOkay one bookish wish? All the books I could ever read (all good to excellent books) for free of course! :P
Have a wonderful weekend Jenny!
Oh I've heard so many great things about this book and I just really want to give it a try! Love the idea of the giveaway and I wish I could enter!
ReplyDeleteThe ability to enter books! That'd be awesome. I could travel the world for $17.99 and less.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful giveaway, Jenny and thank you for sharing it. I loved this book as you already know and I've been thinking about buying a HC for my shelf. Hopefully, I can win.
ReplyDeleteAs for the giveaway question, my wish would be to have more hours in a day so I can read ALL the books! :D
My wish would be my own library full of my favorite books!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting to read this for ever, darn my low allowance!
ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for the public library's to be closer to my home.
ReplyDeleteFor my own personal library filled to the ceiling with all of my favorite books!
ReplyDeleteHmm...probably to have a chance to meet all of my favorite authors.

ReplyDeleteIf the jinni could grant me one book wish, I would ask for the sequels the new books (published 2014) I've read this year! Waiting one year for a cliffhanger to be resolve drives me crazy! (So probably, either Winner's Crime, Heart of Betrayal, or the second Young Elites book)
ReplyDeleteI did enjoy this one. Can't wait for the next book!
ReplyDeleteA cure for cancer.
ReplyDeleteThe ability to morph my body or make illusions! That would be super cool. I would never have to buy clothes or wear makeup. I'm terrible w/ makeup.
I just saw the coolest meme. I'd wish for more genies, lol
Just kidding, I'd wish for a barn filled with puppies, maybe?
One Bookish Wish.... Endless Space to Store Books
ReplyDeleteI'd ask for endless time to read my books without missing out on my daily life. As in, I'd still want to be able to do my internship and write and travel, but somehow, have unlimited time to read. Like a little reading room where time stopped when I entered. Like Narnia. Except I couldn't age in there (I'd probably forget the time and die in there).
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the giveaway; I'm so dying to read this!!!
I'd definitely wish that I could turn back time just so that I could have more time to read books…I would be able to get to read so many more books in my lifetime!
ReplyDeleteI would wish that books only cost a penny each, so I could buy all the books.
ReplyDeleteUnlimited money supply to buy books :D
ReplyDeleteI don't have any trouble getting books, but I'd sure like more time to read them.
ReplyDeleteVery cool idea! I'm too late for this one but I'll have to check out the others!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway! I totally need to read this.
