Enough rambling, check out Seeking Her!
SEEKING HER
(releases January 28th from William Morrow)
A few months after being honorably discharged from the military, Jackson Hunt is still struggling to adjust back to the real world. He needs to get a job and find a sense of normalcy if he’s going to keep his own demons at bay. The job that falls into his lap, though, is anything but normal.
Bodyguard (and baby-sitter) to spoiled-rich-girl Kelsey Summers isn’t exactly what he’d been looking for, but it’s a chance to travel, to get away from the home that has felt stifling ever since his return. It would be a pretty sweet gig if it weren’t for the fact that Kelsey’s father doesn’t want Kelsey to know she’s being followed. Hunt feels guilty (and a little bit creepy) as he watches her from afar. She’s vibrant and infuriating, exciting and reckless, mysterious and familiar. When he sees her falling into the same patterns that he suffered years ago, he decides it’s time to stop watching and help her instead. But getting to know her is more difficult than he thought, especially because the more he knows her, the more he wants her.
Very simple, sometimes that works so well
ReplyDeleteI agree:)
DeleteI don't know about this cover. It doesn't really go with the rest of the covers and the cover really isn't that memorable. For me. I don't know if I wait to read this right away since I haven't read more than the first one, but I will get to them someday :) thanks for sharing, hon!
ReplyDeletebtw, it just so happens that I started reading Finding It today while I was waiting for my class O.o lol
DeleteCan't wait to see what you think of it! I had a hard time with Kelsey at first, but I ended up loving her:)
Deletethis is very different from the previous covers of this series. Not really my type but I'll be reading this one since I want to know more about Jackson Hunt!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to know more about Jackson Hunt too! Can it be January already?
DeleteI love the cover model's hair, Jenny, even though I'm surprised this cover is so different from the others in this series. I definitely need to start it soon. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteI love her hair too, mine definitely doesn't ever look like that:)
DeleteOh, man, I have yet to read something by Cora Carmack, but I do have a soft spot for military boys! Then again, who doesn't?! I love the cover, it's not too flashy or anything. Perhaps I should read this novella first, to see if the writing and I get along. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Jenny!
Military men for the win Maja. ALWAYS!
DeleteWow, this is very different from the rest of the series, but I like it! Ok, I like her hair. Mine never looks artfully messy like that! I had no idea we were getting a novella from Jackson's POV! Super excited, this is going on my wish list. Thanks for sharing! :-)
ReplyDeleteMine never looks that artfully mess either. Clearly we need a team of people to follow us around to make us look beautifully natural ;-)
DeleteThis is a really interesting cover. I love the model and like Keertana said her hair, but letters are a bit problematic here. I don't see the reason why that read background is there. But still looks nice. Thanks for sharing, Jenny :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge and of the rather severe sans serif font either, but I really love the image:)
DeletePretty girl but I'm underwhelmed by the cover. I think it's that red bar at the bottom...doesn't quite fit there. Story sounds good, though!
ReplyDeleteAll the covers have the bars of color somewhere on the bottom, and I could do without them on each one, but I do like the softness to this image and the warm colors.
DeleteI'm a bit underwhelmed by this cover, to be honest (like Mary), but I like that it's not as overtly sexual as her other covers! Thanks for sharing though :)
ReplyDeleteI like that too. It's a more subtle type of sexy which I think is nice:)
DeleteI don't like this cover to be very honest, but I am excited to read this along with the third book. Jackson sounds like such an interesting character.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Jenny.
I can't wait to learn more about Jackson Nick!!!
DeleteJenny, I'm behind on this series. I must catch up! This cover is awesome btw.
ReplyDeleteIt's okay Savy, I'm behind on SO many series it's not even funny. One day I'll catch up, right?
DeleteI just saw this on another blog and I love it. so pretty and soft.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I'm a big fan of the image itself:)
DeleteI didn't know about this novella. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, glad I could put it on your radar!
DeleteThe cover is pretty, Jenny! I'm so behind on this series, I really need to catch up because I really enjoyed Losing It. :)
ReplyDeleteYES! I think the books get better as they go, but I know Kelsey's story will be one that gets widely varying opinions. I adored her though (after the first several chapters anyway) :)
DeleteI actually like this cover, from her expression to the softness of it.
ReplyDeleteI really do too! I'm not a huge fan of the font, but I think the image is beautiful.
DeleteInteresting premise. The cover is very pretty too. It doesn't seem to "go" with the synopsis that much, but maybe it's a representation of the character's reflective and melancholy self.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe that I have yet to read a book by this author? I have a few of them, I believe. I need to get started on them! This book sounds great, it's going on my list!
ReplyDeleteI really need to read this series. I've read so many great reviews. I love this cover though--she's got great hair...I'm a little envious. The font doesn't really go though. I NEED to check out this series. Perhaps I will ask Santa for the first book! :)
ReplyDeleteHm... am curious about this series. You know that is your fault, right? :)
ReplyDeleteOh I like this cover! I have hair envy now. ;) I have to admit that Losing It wasn't that great a read for me, but I look forward to seeing what you think of this novella. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool cover. It seems very vulnerable.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read this series at all but that is a gorgeous cover. I love her hair.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Finding It…the hero is ex military? *swoons* Sounds like a great premise.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does that girl look a lot like Amy Adams? I still need to read Finding It, but I like the idea of getting some of the story from the guy's pov.
