Cover Reveal: Seeking Her by Cora Carmack

It's a well-known secret that I'm a bit of a Cora Carmack fangirl and have loved each and every installment of her Losing It series, so I'm extremely excited today to get the chance to reveal the cover for her upcoming novella, Seeking Her. Seeking Her is written from Jackson Hunt's point of view (Kelsey's love interest in Finding It), and I simply cannot wait to get my hands on this one. Finding It was my favorite of the series to date despite a very rocky start with Kelsey, and I repeatedly found myself wishing for a peek inside Jackson's head as I read her story, so this one is sure to be a real treat for me.

Enough rambling, check out Seeking Her!

SEEKING HER
(releases January 28th from William Morrow)

A few months after being honorably discharged from the military, Jackson Hunt is still struggling to adjust back to the real world. He needs to get a job and find a sense of normalcy if he’s going to keep his own demons at bay. The job that falls into his lap, though, is anything but normal.

Bodyguard (and baby-sitter) to spoiled-rich-girl Kelsey Summers isn’t exactly what he’d been looking for, but it’s a chance to travel, to get away from the home that has felt stifling ever since his return. It would be a pretty sweet gig if it weren’t for the fact that Kelsey’s father doesn’t want Kelsey to know she’s being followed. Hunt feels guilty (and a little bit creepy) as he watches her from afar. She’s vibrant and infuriating, exciting and reckless, mysterious and familiar. When he sees her falling into the same patterns that he suffered years ago, he decides it’s time to stop watching and help her instead. But getting to know her is more difficult than he thought, especially because the more he knows her, the more he wants her.

  2. I don't know about this cover. It doesn't really go with the rest of the covers and the cover really isn't that memorable. For me. I don't know if I wait to read this right away since I haven't read more than the first one, but I will get to them someday :) thanks for sharing, hon!

  5. Oh, man, I have yet to read something by Cora Carmack, but I do have a soft spot for military boys! Then again, who doesn't?! I love the cover, it's not too flashy or anything. Perhaps I should read this novella first, to see if the writing and I get along. :D
    Thanks for sharing, Jenny!

  6. Wow, this is very different from the rest of the series, but I like it! Ok, I like her hair. Mine never looks artfully messy like that! I had no idea we were getting a novella from Jackson's POV! Super excited, this is going on my wish list. Thanks for sharing! :-)

    1. Mine never looks that artfully mess either. Clearly we need a team of people to follow us around to make us look beautifully natural ;-)

  7. This is a really interesting cover. I love the model and like Keertana said her hair, but letters are a bit problematic here. I don't see the reason why that read background is there. But still looks nice. Thanks for sharing, Jenny :)

    1. I'm not a huge and of the rather severe sans serif font either, but I really love the image:)

  8. Pretty girl but I'm underwhelmed by the cover. I think it's that red bar at the bottom...doesn't quite fit there. Story sounds good, though!

    1. All the covers have the bars of color somewhere on the bottom, and I could do without them on each one, but I do like the softness to this image and the warm colors.

  9. I'm a bit underwhelmed by this cover, to be honest (like Mary), but I like that it's not as overtly sexual as her other covers! Thanks for sharing though :)

    1. I like that too. It's a more subtle type of sexy which I think is nice:)

    1. YES! I think the books get better as they go, but I know Kelsey's story will be one that gets widely varying opinions. I adored her though (after the first several chapters anyway) :)

  16. Interesting premise. The cover is very pretty too. It doesn't seem to "go" with the synopsis that much, but maybe it's a representation of the character's reflective and melancholy self.

  17. Can you believe that I have yet to read a book by this author? I have a few of them, I believe. I need to get started on them! This book sounds great, it's going on my list!

  18. I really need to read this series. I've read so many great reviews. I love this cover though--she's got great hair...I'm a little envious. The font doesn't really go though. I NEED to check out this series. Perhaps I will ask Santa for the first book! :)

  20. Oh I like this cover! I have hair envy now. ;) I have to admit that Losing It wasn't that great a read for me, but I look forward to seeing what you think of this novella. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!

  24. Is it just me or does that girl look a lot like Amy Adams? I still need to read Finding It, but I like the idea of getting some of the story from the guy's pov.
