Today I'm pleased to welcome author Nicola Marsh to the blog to talk a little bit about the first book in her new Solar Snatchers series, Scion of the Sun. In this first installment, protagonist Holly spends time at a boarding school for gifted students called C.U.L.T, so I thought a fun way to get to know her would be by putting ourselves in her shoes and taking a closer look at what she gets up to during a typical day at school. You can find the full list of participating blogs on the tour here, and don't forget to check out the bottom of the post for details on a tour-wide giveaway!

SCION OF THE SUN
(available now from Month9Books)
When she least expects it, sixteen-year old Holly Burton’s unremarkable life is shaken to the core. A vision of the mother Holly never knew leaves her questioning everything she believes.
Eager for answers, Holly enrolls at a boarding school for highly gifted students in Wolfebane, New Hampshire. But things will get worse before they get better, as Holly accidentally transports to a parallel existence where she's confronted by a dark and ancient evil.
With the help of Joss, a sexy alpha warrior sworn to protect her, and her new BFF, the equally swoon-worthy Quinn, Holly faces her fears and an unlikely adversary in a showdown that is worse than anything she could’ve possibly imagined …

ReplyDeleteRight? They sound way more fun than calculus or biology.
DeleteThis is an interesting post ladies! I for sure would love to take part in Holly's additional classes, me actually being any good at them is a whole another story though! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteHaha it would be fun to try though wouldn't it Jasprit? I would be equally terrible, so we could take the classes and suck together:)
DeleteOoh, this looks really good! I haven't heard of this book, but the class schedule is certainly interesting and has piqued my curiosity in the book. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind spending a day as Holly, I think it would be a blast:)
DeleteI want to go to that school. Teach me, C.U.L.T! As long as I don't have to drink the Kool-Aid (heh. see what I did there?) Month9Books has some interesting upcoming titles, don't they?
ReplyDeleteYES! *looks for online application* And Month9 definitely has a few titles I'm interested in coming up:)
DeleteHa! Can I go to that school as well? Her reading list and classes sound awesome. I will definitely be adding this book to my TBR list. Thanks for the great giveaway!

DeleteOkay, that school sounds amazing. I'd totally go back to school if it meant I got to go there! I really like this sound of this book, so I'll be researching it further, for sure! Great feature, Jenny! :)
ReplyDeleteSAME! I have no desire to take math or science ever again, but those classes? Yes, please.

DeleteOy! Finally a much needed breath of originality! I'd love to study Celtic Gods & Goddesses and Druid Bewitching Season. Compared to this schedule, my students have it so hard! It's a wonder they didn't die of boredom.
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of this worldbuilding, love the cover, love the title, love it all. And I can't wait to meet Holly.
I often thought I might die of boredom in certain classes, but I feel like that would not be the case with this lineup! I'm really excited to give this one a try, I'm so glad you are too!
DeleteCan I go to this school? This sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes you can. As long as we can be roomies. :)
DeleteRight? Sign me up:)
ReplyDeleteI have high hopes for this one Heidi!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds right up my alley and I've seen nothing but good things about it. Really interesting! I've put it in my wish list at amazon and will def check it out.
ReplyDeleteLithology sounds positively dull. But mastering teleportation? I'd be all over that! :D I love the sound of this book and think it could be my sort of thing. Also, Jennifer L. Armentrout had good things to say about it, so I'm definitely curious now. :) Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds interesting
