Giveaway: Maggie's Man

Three siblings searching for the truth about their family are about to find more than they bargained for.

When shy and reserved Maggie Ferringer was called for jury duty, she never expected to be kidnapped by an escaped convict. But when Cain Cannon, disguised as a prison guard, pulls a gun, she has no choice but to be taken hostage. Cain claims that he’s innocent of killing his girlfriend six years ago and now he wants revenge on the people who put him behind bars.

Soon, Maggie becomes more than just a hostage to Cain. As they slowly begin to share the secrets of their respective pasts, Maggie discovers that she wants to fight for Cain’s freedom—because he just might be the kind of man she could love.

Today, thanks to the fabulous team at Signet/Penguin I have 5 copies of Lisa Gardner's adult romantic suspense novel Maggie's Man to give away on the blog! From Signet:

About 15 years ago #1 New York Times bestselling author Lisa Gardner began her writing career-under the name Alicia Scott.  She published thirteen novels of romantic suspense under this name including The Family Secrets Trilogy: Maggie's Man, McNamara's Woman and Brandon's Bride.

Signet is very excited to be putting The Family Secrets Trilogy back in print beginning this month with MAGGIE'S MAN! Complete with gorgeous new covers and an introduction from Lisa, it's a great opportunity for fans who know her later work to return to the beginning. And MCNAMARA'S WOMAN will follow in October and BRANDON'S BRIDE in December so there isn't too long to wait for the next installment.

  1. I think it's funny that they put Lisa Gardner as the biggest part on the cover, then writing as Alicia Scott and then the title is all small. I looked at that cover and had to look for awhile to actually find the title. What's the point of writing as someone else if your other name is so huge? I guess I don't really get that. They should have put her name she's writing as, then below it in small print aka... or something. I get aliases, but it kind of ruins it if their other name is on it too. Okay, I'll end my rant there. :)

  2. I am with Candance, I do not get it. All I see is Gardner so why even bother with the other name?

  3. Uhmm I like the guy on the cover but yeah I'm with Candace too. I mean shouldn't the title be the biggest on the cover. Anyhow I cannot enter but good luck :)

  4. That cover isn't really doing it for me because of the exact same reason mentioned by the commenters above. What is the point of another pen name, if you're going to announce on the cover who exactly you are? And what's funny is how her pen name is written in a tiny font!
Jennifer L Armentrout/J Lynn does the same thing!
Regardless, I do love the sound of the book.
It looks like an interesting read.
As far as my favorite romantic suspense book goes, I don't really have any, but I did enjoy Killing Sarai by J.A Redmerski!
Thank you for the lovely giveaway! :)

  5. This sounds good! I've enjoyed some good kidnap/I'm innocent stories (as long as there's not rape or mutilation or any of that involved).

And I agree with the pen name discussion going on in the comments (hey, that'd make an interesting discussion post, especially if there were authors who use pen names involved!).

  6. I like the sound of this one! I am trying to read more romantic suspense because I keep reading fabulous reviews of them over on Kimba's blog and adding them to my TBR pile. I guess I don't really have a favorite, but I do like Linda Howard's books. Thanks for the giveaway!

  7. Thanks for the giveaway chance!
Believe it or not, as much as I love romance and mystery, I very rarely read romantic suspense. I think I need to rectify that!

    1. I just started reading Davidson's UNDEAD series. It is really funny. I am not into vampires, but I am kinda sweet on Sinclair.

  9. I don't have one. "Corralled" (Harlequin Intrigue Series) by B.J. Daniels was the first to catch my attention. I am trying to add more romantic suspense books to my TBR now. I am going to start on Carmen DeSousa's books next month.

Thanks for hosting the giveaway! Fingers crossed to win.

  10. Oh a favorite? I don't know if I can name a fave, but I really enjoyed the Lori Foster series I reviewed. I also like the ones I read about the motorcycles guys who are also elite ops (I am drawing a blank at the name of the series). I do enjoy these. :)

  11. Hooray for romantic suspense! I gotta go with the I-Team series by Pamela Clare, particularly Unlawful Contact. Marc Hunter is HOT! And did I mention he's an escaped convict? Yummy. ;-)

  15. It's funny that you're running this giveaway, Jenny because I just added this to my TBR recently. I love Lisa Gardner and I didn't know of this series' existence! I've read most of her books and she is the queen of mystery/suspense with a little romance thrown in, IMO. I loved her Quincy/Rainey series. Thanks for the giveaway and feature! :)
