DEEP BLUE
The first in a series of epic tales set in the depths of the ocean, where six mermaids seek to protect and save their hidden world.
Deep in the ocean, in a world not so different from our own, live the merpeople. Their communities are spread throughout the oceans, seas, and freshwaters all over the globe.
When Serafina, a mermaid of the Mediterranean Sea, awakens on the morning of her betrothal, her biggest worry should be winning the love of handsome Prince Mahdi. And yet Sera finds herself haunted by strange dreams that foretell the return of an ancient evil. Her dark premonitions are confirmed when an assassin’s arrow poisons Sera's mother.
Now, Serafina must embark on a quest to find the assassin’s master and prevent a war between the Mer nations. Led only by her shadowy dreams, Sera searches for five other mermaid heroines who are scattered across the six seas. Together, they will form an unbreakable bond of sisterhood and uncover a conspiracy that threatens their world’s very existence.

My favorite mermaid story is The Little Mermaid. It is the first fairy tale that I cried to because the girl didn't get the boy and the boy didn't realize the truth until it was too late.
ReplyDeleteThe Little Mermaid, but Aquamarine is good as well
ReplyDeleteI'm just so in love with the cover! I liked the book but I confess that maybe something was missing for me to really love it. We'll see witht he sequels.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely The Little Mermaid...since childhood.
ReplyDeleteMonstrous Beauty by Elizabeth Fama is my new favorite mermaid book!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful giveaway Jenny!
ReplyDeleteI have always love The Little Mermaid, can't beat a feisty redhead!
Oooh, thanks for the chance! I love the cover, and could use some pretty Deep Blue nail polish for the summer. Happy Friday. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks you for the great giveaway, Jenny. My favorite Mermaid movie is the old, original Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid which broke my heart when I was a kid, of course Disney's Little Mermaid is awesome too. Hmmm...then there's Splash. What can I say, I like mermaids! :)
ReplyDeleteI am curious about the next book. Need to see how it ends! :) Oh and love that blue nail polish. I do have one that has the word mermaid in it. Of course I had to get it. LOL
ReplyDeleteI love the cover of this one, but was a little disappointed by the first review of it I saw. Still, I am a lover of all things "mer". What is my favorite Mermaid book or movie? I have to choose? Movie- Well I have always loved Splash with Daryl Hannah and Tom Hanks. But The Little Mermaid runs a close second. Just love the songs in it. As far as books go....no way I can choose!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I've read any mermaid books except for Wake by Amanda Hocking. Well technically, they're sirens, but close enough right?
ReplyDeletelove the cover this looks like it will be a good book. The only mermaid I have ever seen was the little mermaid and also something on Disney but cant remember the name.
ReplyDeleteI loved Of Posidon by Anna Banks and I loved watching H2O when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking The Little Mermaid as my favorite movie.. mostly because I can't think of any others :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous cover. The premise sounds intriguing but I rarely like sea creature books. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
ReplyDelete(this is Darith L.)
ReplyDeleteAquamarine! :D
I've always loved The Little Mermaid and I also liked the movie Aquamarine a lot as well. Unfortunately I haven't found any books on mermaids that have caught my interest until now. It's such a beautiful cover and the storyline sounds brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteI have a copy of this so I won't enter the giveaway, but just wanted to chime in and agree - the cover is lovely! And what a fun prize to have nail polish to match. I wish I was talented enough to do bookish manicures like Mands at The Bookish Manicurist, but sadly it's like i"m a toddler coloring all outside the lines when I do my own nails. :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite... but I do love mermaids. I'd love to read it!
ReplyDeleteThe movie Splash was pretty good. I particularly liked Tom Hanks (who doesn't?) but John Candy and Darryl Hannah had some good moments too. Thanks for the chance to win Deep Blue.
ReplyDeleteThe Little Mermaid xxx
