Hey Everyone!
I just wanted to do a quick post today to let you all know about a really fun event coming up for Clara Kensie's paranormal young adult serial novel, Run to You. I had the opportunity a little while back to read and review the three parts of book one, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for quick, hugely entertaining reads.
To help celebrate the upcoming release of book two (also consisting of three parts), Clara is hosting a read-along for First Sight, Second Glance, and Third Charm to introduce new readers to the series before Tessa and Tristan's story continues.
I know a lot of you are probably going "I'm not a fan of serials, so this is not for me," but WAIT! What's so great about this serial in particular is one: All three parts of book one are already out, and two: This serial releases a week apart with part four (Fourth Shadow) actually releasing last week. Part five (Fifth Touch) releases this Tuesday, the 15th and the sixth and final part of book two (Sixth Sense) is out on July 21st. Hardly any waiting necessary. Win.
I've participated in a couple read-alongs and have had an absolute blast, so I encourage anyone who hasn't tried one yet to follow along, it's a fantastic way to share bookish excitement with fellow book lovers!
Below is the schedule for the read-along, but be sure and check out Clara's full blog post for all the finer details as well as a list of all the AWESOME prizes you can win for participating! From Clara:
The read-along is for Book One (FIRST SIGHT, SECOND GLANCE, and THIRD TOUCH).
As you read the corresponding installment each week, come to my Facebook page to discuss it with other readers. Margie, Patricia, and Hannah will ask some fun questions for you to answer, and you can ask questions of your own.
- FIRST SIGHT: July 21 – July 27 (Moderated by Margie from Bumbles and Fairy Tales)
- SECOND GLANCE: July 28 – August 3 (Moderated by Patricia from The Unofficial Addiction Book Fan Club)
- THIRD CHARM: August 4 – August 10 (Moderated by Hannah from The Irish Banana Review)

Actually, with my current work load, serials are very good for me. They keep me interested for longer than a few hours and they remind me why I need reading, sometimes even more than I need sleep.
ReplyDeleteIf you say it's fun, it's fun. I'm still not sure I'll be joining the readalong, but I'll definitely be reading these.
I had such fun reading the first 3 Maja, they're super quick reads:) I hope you enjoy them as I did!
DeleteThanks for sharing this Jenny! I'm not sure if I'll be joining the read-a-long or not yet, depends on how I can juggle work and all the other things I want to and have to do this month...
ReplyDeleteI hear you Pili, life is crazy sometimes, but I hope you give these a try at some point!
DeleteAhhh this is one series I added recently to my list and had I known there was going to be a read along a week or two ago I would have cleared up my schedule but I cannot join this now *cries*
ReplyDeleteMy 'work' load atm is so high and this really sucks because joining the buddy read would have been such a great way to get started on this series :/
It's okay Rashika! You can still follow along even if you don't participate, and I hope you get the chance to try the first three episodes soon!
DeleteI haven't heard about it before, so thank you for info. Looks interesting!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! I so enjoy a good read-along:)
DeleteI love this idea, it sounds like it will be so much fun. Thanks for posting about this Jenny!
ReplyDeleteLove this idea. I'm not sure I will be able to read along though. I have way too many books I need to get to.
ReplyDeleteI've been curious to check these out since you first mentioned them, and now that there is significantly less waiting time between serial releases, I'm definitely ready to give it a go! Thanks for the heads up on the readalong!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on this! I don't think I can add anything to my plate right now, it's been an insane summer where I can't seem to get caught up on anything, but if I can get a bit more done maybe I'll have to consider trying to join this read-along. They are a lot of fun!
